Goats advice on goat keeping

I want to start rearing goats in the northern part of uganda..Yumbe District.

in addition would advice you care fully consider the breed type. we have indiginous breeds which have been naturally selected for harsh environment and which are generally used for meat production,meat breeds which have been breed for meat characteristics and are generally accepted that are more suseptible to diseases than the non-improved breed and the dairy breeds for milk production. production norms for different goats are fairly variable, however gestation length is 150days,breeding age for young ewes should be 9 months,ram/ewe ratio 1 to 20, kindly keep logged for more advice as you progress with the project
