The best timing to set up an apiary is during warm seasons. Bees are less active during rainy and cold seasons.

The four seasons are dearth( not death), build up, honey flow and harvesting seasons. The seasons follow floral calenda and it is more of a cycle. During dearth season, not much necta is collected due to bad weather. The colony is weak at this point. During build up , the colony multiplies as the weather is favourable for colony expansion. Honey flow swasons more plants flowers and there is enough forage and necta. This is followed by harvesting season.
