Poultry Bonemeal for poultry?

Yesterday I went to buy some bone meal for my dogs. And upon placing my order i was asked for chicken or dogs? I had no prior knowledge about bone meal for poultry. However upon asking, the lady at the counter wasn't willing to give details.
My question is what are the benefits of bonemeal to poultry?

Yes bone meal is rich source of calcium and phosphorus for your poultry. However the use should be restricted to less than 5% of the total ration as execessive inclussion can result to imbalance of the two as well(calcium & phosphorus)
