When salty water enters the soil, the plant tries to absorb it throughout its roots like normal water. However,salty water does not allow for osmosis through the plant tissues. Salt solution actually draws water out of the plant, dehydrating and eventually killing it.

Hello Nicodemus, it transporting seedlings may in two ways depending on how you raised them:-
1.If you raised them on germination trays then transport them intact with trays
2. If you grew/raised them in normal nusery beds then do uplifting of seedlings late in the evening or early in the morning after you've watered them thoroughly at least two hours earlier. Lift them with little loose soil ( don't firm the soil) them put in a carton and transport immediately

Good morning, borehole water has no issues can just be used, so long as it's not excessively salty
