How can one successfully grow lettuce and how much should i invest into

Do you have a market?
This should be your starting point, since the lettuce mature within 45 days and are highly perishable.
Once you identified the market then plan how to ensure you have a continuous supply. This is achieved by planting in intervals.
Its easy to grow lettuce as long as you observe the good agricultural practices.
Lettuce can be grown both in the greenhouse and open field.
Start by raising the seedlings then transplant.
Use DAP during planting though this depends with the soil test analysis and top dress with CAN.
manure application should be done during the land preparation .

The ideal spacing is 30 by 30 cm.

The amount to invest depends with the quantity you expect to produce.
