Morning Jane, if you're really sure that all preventive measures were under taken appropriately then the other possible reason could as a result of excess moisture resulting from the current on going rains. Remedy measures are:-
- Prune leaves surrounding the fruits, or removal of non fruit bearing vines to open up the crop for maximum air circulation.
- Put some hard materials beneath the formed fruits like pieces of wood to elevate the fruits from wet soil contact.
