Aging in birds might not affect ability to lay though the egg quality is decreased for example, number of cracked eggs increases, may produce shell less egg. Older birds tend to loose reproductive tone,i.e calcium deposition gets less and may produce rough spoted eggs, the internal yolk have meat spots. Aging birds will have rough feathers and are prone to prolapse of the oviduct suffer more from egg yolk peritonitis
