Its important you consider the market demand, water source, previous cropping due to crop rotation and inputs in terms of fertilizers, variety of seeds, pests, diseases and weeds control attributing to the total cost incurred , the selling price and the profit you make.
This is important because I believe its agripreneurship hence profit based farming.
For the varieties they are adapted to different localities if possible inquire from your area extension officer on a suitable variety.
