If you’re raising chickens, you don’t just take a breed. Are there breeds you look out for say for example because of their laying prowess or maybe you live in a hot climate area and want to be sure the breeds you choose will do well in your area?

If you are doing free range none commercial then you might have to adapt your breed selection to the climate. Otherwise for intensive commercial hot climate will be ideal to keep diseases checked but you have to create micro-climate within the poultry unit so as to manage the extremities of climate for better birds performance.
