Poultry Poultry infections

Sometimes buying mature chicken from the farm to increase your stock is quite risky because of cross infection. what else are you suppose to do to avoid risk of cross infection apart from isolating the new flock?

The rule is never take risk with you flock. Isolation is unavoidable, you have to isolate first (quarantine) until you are sure the birds are as healthy as yours. Otherwise would advise you don't take such risks of buying mature birds and introducing into your healthy flock. Regardless of how healthy they might look even from reputable farm isolation is a must practice.
