Urban farming involves animal and crop production in a small set up of land.. For livestock animals depends with the available space and the kind of animals you intend to keep @nedward he can assist further on this.
For crops production you can start with short maturing vegetables such as kales, spinach , cowpeas etc, depending with the piece of land, you can decide to have vertical gardens, use containers or raised beds
