Poultry What breed of chicken is best for West Africa precisely Ghana

Ghana has a wind range of poultry breeds both local, and exotic. For village chicken, you have the barred, frizzled and the necked neck birds. Layers you can go for ISA brown, Hisex brown, starcross or locally developed Afarbird. For broiler production we have the cobb, arbi acress, hypeco and locally developed Afabro. Management skills to succeed in the business however has no border. It is a universal practice to maintain proper biosecurity at all times.
