Chicks are always very inquisitive and thus apart from ensuring that their feed is balanced and lighting is adequate always inspection is required to ensure that nothing e.g feed drops on the surface of the other as this can trigger series of pecking as others try to eat feed on stack on the others back might puncture the delicate skin. In the process of doing so all birds that will be blood stained because of the red color will too be pecked at the end you might have half the chicks eaten a live. Always inspect and separate the pecked bird before the condition escalates.
