Which are the common markets for Navy white beans produce in East Africa, Africa and world at large. Many farmers in Teso sub regions are indulging in Navy White beans farming despite not sure of the market.

Navy white beans is a relatively more nutritious type of beans however it's production and marketing chains has been dwindled over the years. In Kenya this type of beans has been grown over the years around the former larger Nakuru district with growing zones being Njoro, kabazi, solai and Rongai areas. Farmers here have been doing contractual farming with Njoro canning and Kabazi canning factories. These two entities export canned products to Europe and USA who are major global consumers of canned Navy blue beans. In Thika jamhuri market there are also buyers in large volumes of this type of beans. Ethiopia, Chaina and Canada are other global producers.
My advice would be the Teso farmers to consolidate themselves as a farming group, register and reach out to the buyers I have mentioned above or any other through government agencies eg HCDA under the ministry of agriculture and crops development. It's a devolved unit I hope a sub county office is at Amagoro- Teso
Thanks
