For economic reasons as most of the vaccines are packaged for smallest unit of 50 doses would recommend 50 as the least. However remember there is better returns when you factor in economics of scale. The more birds you keep the lower the cost of production especially on wages. If it is within ones' safe economic sphere, then would recommend 500 birds and above for better returns

The highest point should not be more than 8ft from the floor to the roof. The house to be rectangular never any other shape and be on east west orientation.

That is more of environmental physiology. Any other measurement or shapes tends to bring in room for drougftiness and dead areas at the centre of the unit that will never be utilized by the birds. Orientation is to allow for maximum sun from sun rise to sun set.
