This depends with which method you want. The cape gooseberries are in the same family with the tomataoes and so you can do them organically or inorganically.
If organically prepare you land and add well decomposed manure before planting at least 5kgs per metre squared.
During topdressing you can use vermitea.
If organically use DAP during planting and topdress using Nitrogenenous fertilizer. All this depends with the soil test analysis to avoid introduction of nutrients that are available in the soil.
