Which part of nyeri to be specific. Otherwise poultry performs exceptional better in dry areas as compared to wet areas for reasons more of diseases than breed type. Otherwise any type of breed can do better under intensive management system.

Cold area. Create micro-climate, and would recommend you do kuroilers or broilers, coz layers get very much affected by short photo-periodicity as sometimes experienced in that area between April and may.the might not lay consistently as oviposition is triggered by sunlight(u.v)

Morning vet, thanks for your help, which type of broilers coz in my mind I have been thinking broilers are just for meat?u mean there are broilers for eggs production?

Yes broilers are for meat, have just alerted above that don't do layers as their production highly depend on day light period

Ok,so to get me clear on this,apart from kuroiler, aren't there other breed can do as well as kuroiler coz am interested in layers???

Well you can do layers yes but must be ready to combat the situation in time example plan well so that laying start in the month of November. Meaning by June July the following year when cold season sets in you shall have bagged your profit and can decide to force moult or deplete and prepare for next batch to start laying again by November. Laying starts week 18-22range. So just planning well where it leaned more to your advantage.
