True broilers have faster growth rate due to their genetic predisposition and should be ready for slaughter within 6-8wks. This actually means the entire production is like brooding chicks . It is thus worth concentrating on commercial produced quality feed meant for broilers I.e broiler starter and broiler finished to capitalize on their high feed conversion efficiency. Otherwise supplements such as green vegetables, maggots, ants ? etc are very much useful though could be entry points for infections now that this birds are highly vulnerable.
