Yap Mensah, your low yield may be improved if the following are adhered to properly
  1. Plant the right variety as per your ecological zone ( contact any agriculture extension office near you to guide you)
  2. Prepare land early and plant at the onset of rain
  3. Do soil analysis to give you information on fertility levels and nutrients requirements
  4. Apply fertilizer adequately and timely at planting and top dressing purposes( you add manure too)
  5. Keep your crops free from weeds and pests( timely weeding)
