For Apples kindly take note of the following as you plant to establish and orchard
Soils should be well drained ,prepared early when soils have minimum moisture
Holes done at 2-3 meters apart intra row and 3-4 meters inter row. Make them deep 60 cm and 60 cm diameter
Soil PH 5-6.5
Rainfall annual records of between 800-1100
Temperature, performs in cool temperatures as low as 13°C
Keep your trees from frosts and possible fungal attack by applying appropriate fungicide (Matalyxl and mancozebs)
Planting materials are majorly vegetative where grafted cultivars are preferred
Let your orchard be free from weeds and crops well fertilized. Compost manure is a preference mixed with top soil at the time of planting 1 bucket per hole/plant
