Poultry Death in Adult Laying Hens

Hi guys. Today morning I found one of my hens dead in the coop, with its vent eaten out. I initially thought it was a predatorial attack but ruled that out when I did not find any bite or scratch marks. In the day, when picking eggs, I found another hen lying weak in the laying nest. On lifting it up, I found the hen stretching out and it died soon after getting it up. On checking the vent, it was in the process of laying an egg, which I easily squeezed out of its vent after it was dead. That's two hens in a day guys. What could the problem be? NB: I had not spotted any signs of ailment before this

You are experiencing problem referred to as vent prolapse. Kindly do sorting and cull all birds that doesn't meet the threshold i.e 3 to 4 fingers should fit between the bones at the vent area. Otherwise have your birds too on layers feed always in good time
