Hello Nicodemus, you may need not any special treatment except ensuing proper nutrition especially one that enhances root development e.g weekly spray of phophatic foliar fertiliser, preventive fungicides like RIDOMIL and do proper hardening through the last on week before transplanting.
You also need to check on soil status of your farm before planting by performing soil testing to analyse presence of Nematodes and other soil born bacteria which cause Fusarium and bacterial Wilt. Soil analysis will also give information on nutritional abundance or insufficiency in regard to Nitrogen, Phosphorus and Potassium as macronutrients as well as micronutrients nutrients like Calcium etc.
